After 15 cycles and 5 IUIs...

I am pregnant!!!! Two beautiful lines popped up this morning! I am so happy, so thrilled, so overjoyed, so....

There just aren't words to descibe how I feel right now.

After getting the positive test, I called Dr. B's office and told them. They asked me to come in for a beta HCG blood test. It was also positive and the number was 106!

Which is actually a little high for this early in the pregnancy. Brandon immediately thought that it was twins. :) We shall see!

I want to take this opportunity to thank all my blog readers. Your support over these many months has been amazing! I hope that you continue to follow me throughout the pregnancy.

We did it!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Brooke, Andrea, and Amanda!!

Andrea- I am not really hoping for twins per se. But if that is what is meant to be, then we will be thrilled. Either way, we are overjoyed!

Amanda- Now I can actually start planning my homebirth at the homebirth meetings! :)

Hi Mandie,

First of all, I want to say congratulations. I have been following your blog for about a month now and have seen what a long journey you have been through to get that positive test. So congrats!

I was just wondering though if you would share the results of your husband's SA for this past IUI (like you normally do). My husband has only morphology issues like your husband and I have been debating about going straight to IVF because I thought IUI would be hopeless. Obviously not!

Thanks

Laura-

Thank you for reading! I am sorry to hear that you have similar issues. It is a rough road for sure.

Our numbers from this last cycle (I didn't post them because I was really trying not to stress about it).

Total count: 32 million

Total motility: 32%

Total morphology 2% normal

So I'm a lurker! Your friend Nicole from Chicago works with my husband. Nicole recommended your blog to us b/c we're embarking on our own little fertility journey, and thought your blog might be helpful to us. So, I've just finished reading all your "infertility posts" and have gotten myself caught up to speed. I am so glad this story has a happy ending! Or beginning I should say!

We have a two year old daughter, and have trying for 21 mos. to conceive again and are beginning IUI treatments. So, while I've come across a few blogs now where they've tried multiple rounds of IUI...sometimes unsuccesfully...I'm still optimistic. But I've just got to thank you for your blog. I appreciate you being so candid and sharing each detail. It's such a funny thing how taboo this topic appears to be, so it's nice hearing someone else has gone through this besides me...not that I'm glad you had to experience this, just glad you felt comfortable sharing it. So hope you don't mind a stranger reading your blog! Congrats on the pregnancy!

The Osborns-

Thank you so much for reading! No, I don't mind having a "stranger" read at all!

I am so sorry to hear of your current struggles. I wish you a very speedy journey. Or at least some peace as you begin this long road.

Glad you found me and hope that you continue to read. Best wishes!
